Joe Harper

Brodhead High, Monticello Independent, Wayne County High 1954-1986 Although an outstanding athlete, Joe Harper would make his mark as an outstanding coach. He made six trips to the Sweet Sixteen with his Monticello teams. He advanced to the quarterfinals twice, the semi-finals twice, and the championship game in 1960. He has served as coach for the East-West All Stars and multiple times as a coach with the Kentucky All-Stars. Coach Harper’s teams won over 500 games during his career.
