The 2026 Induction Celebration
The 2026 class of the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame is extraordinary! After examining the 2026 Inductees, it was evident that basketball royalty is represented from top to bottom in this 12 person class. We have strong family ties, great scoring acuity, championship bloodlines and post high school careers that are impressive. The 200th inductee for the KHSBHF will come from this group. All of these honorees could have been included in the earliest inductions. Kentucky’s player talent pool and coaching legends have made the selection extremely difficult. The process evaluates greatness, and we welcome the public’s evaluation.
Come out and join us at the Opera House on Broadway, in Lexington, Kentucky, on August 22, 2026, and be a part of Kentucky high school basketball’s historical legacy.
Glory Road / Heritage Games
The “Glory Road/Heritage Game” project honors the many gymnasiums and longstanding rivalry games across Kentucky that have contributed to the phenomenon of high school basketball. Attend a Heritage Game at one of the Glory Road gymnasiums where high school basketball history was made.

essence of the game
We define the “Essence of the Game” as the rich heritage and invaluable life lessons taught through the experience of playing basketball. These treasures that players and coaches take with them, long after the competition stops, have shaped many lives for the better. Hard work, respect for authority, the value of teamwork, personal responsibility and the importance of tradition are just a few elements that make up the “Essence of the Game” – a theme we seek to encompass with each inductee.

Induction into the KHSBHF is based on accomplishments and contributions made by players and coaches to
