Wesley was selected as Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball in 1973. An All-State performer in 1972 and 1973, he led Male to two Sweet 16 appearances. Cox was named to the All-State Tournament Team in 1973 and played on the 1971 Male Bulldog State Championship Team. He would further his career in his hometown at the University of Louisville.
