Announces:
The “GLORY ROAD / HERITAGE GAME” Project
The Kentucky High School Basketball Hal of Fame (KHSBHF) is proud to announce its 2023-24 “GLORY ROAD” projects that will recognize and honor the many gymnasiums across Kentucky that have historical significance in the development of the cultural phenomenon of Kentucky high school basketball. For more than 10 years, Kentucky high school basketball has been embraced by Kentuckians who came together in gymnasiums of various shapes and sizes to support their teams.
Over time, the KHSBHF will recognize many iconic gymnasiums along with the schools and communities that built them. The GLORY ROAD gymnasiums represent places where stars were born, champions crowned, fans and communities rallied, bands and cheerleaders excited and a sport came to life! The HERITAGE GAMES are longstanding rivalries across Kentucky and were the genesis of the popularity of high school basketball. Many were played in the gymnasiums that are being recognized as GLORY ROAD sites by the Kentucky High School Basketball Hal of Fame.
The GLORY ROAD sites wil host HERITAGE GAMES. The teams and dates are listed below.
